Flags at Seguin Township facilities will be lowered on Saturday, June 11 in honour of Joseph Prosper Bissonette.
Bissonette died on May 23, 2022 at the age of 93. The lifelong Seguin area resident gave decades of his life to public service, sitting on local municipal councils and committees for more than 50 years. Bissonette was a founding member of Seguin Township when it amalgamated in 1998.
“Joseph Bissonette left an inspiring legacy in our community,” says Seguin Township Mayor Ann MacDiarmid. “His generous commitment to public service was truly remarkable. On behalf of the Township, I’d like to extend condolences to Joseph Bissonette’s family and his many friends.”
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 11 at 1:00 pm at the Church of the Redeemer in Rosseau.
