Seguin Family Fun Night is returning to the Rosseau Waterfront on June 23 with live music, a barbecue, cash bar, waterski show, and various activities to celebrate the start of summer and those who give back to the community.
“This is one of the most exciting events in our community,” says Seguin Township’s Director of Community Services Dominique O’Brien. “We planned the celebration to have something for everyone, from little kids, to teens, to adults. We are especially excited to raise a glass to our volunteers – who really are the backbone of so much that we do here, including organizing sports and events, sitting on committees, and donating their time and serving as firefighters.”
The entire evening is free with festivities begin at 6:00pm, continuing until about 9:00pm. The Foley Agricultural Society will be at the grill; local musician Luke Crans will perform. The Kinsmen Club will host a cash bar. One of the evening’s highlights will be a waterski show from SWS Muskoka. Several local businesses have donated to a raffle and there will be a bouncy castle for the little ones.
Seguin Township and Seguin Public Libraries staff will be on hand to announce the winners of a youth art contest launched in May to help inform the two organizations’ new strategic plans. There will also be a booth designed specifically for those 17 and under with various hands-on activities and prizes.
Those planning to attend must RSVP to rec@seguin.ca. Follow Seguin Township on Facebook for more information.
