About the Parry Sound Airport Business Park
The Airport Business Park currently serves both industrial and commercial businesses in the Parry Sound Region. It consists of approximately 164 acres, of which 145 are considered developable.
With our growing population, the Parry Sound Business Park provides positive economic conditions for construction and industry development, as well as providing the opportunity to create new jobs for the area. The Business Park can facilitate a wide range of customizable site options for various businesses and hopes to assist their successful growth within our municipality and the region as a whole.
The Parry Sound Airport was officially opened in 1979, and its development has grown exponentially since then. It has become a key component to growth and prosperity of the region. The airport has attracted significant federal and provincial capital funding, over the years to help support its infrastructure development. The airport plans to continue its history of improvements and support of its community.
So far, the Business Park is home to 8 non-aviation related, lucrative businesses. Each with their own unique requirements for their building facilities.
“I was hesitant to come to the Airport at first, but my need for a large building decided the deal.
I have found that this was an excellent choice. As well as having the size of facility that we needed, the proximity to the highway with ample parking have proven to be invaluable. The Airport committee was very supportive, willing to work with us to facilitate our installation onto the site.”

“The Parry Sound Airport Business Park has been our home now for several years. Since being at this location we have identified numerous items that not only benefit our organization however our overall customer base as well.
To name a couple of these items specifically:
Proximity to highway 400 and being able to get out to effectively service our customers as well as a central location for our employees to work out of.
Partnership with the local airport authority and a sense of community and collaboration with being a tenant of the airport business park. It’s not just being a tenant, it’s working together.
We plan on continuing to be a tenant and a partner of the airport for many years to come. They have provided an outstanding service to Superior Propane.”

“I am the owner/operator of Rynz Innovative Tooling Inc. Nine years ago I was looking for a place to move my backyard-basement operation into a larger facility close to our cottage on Otter Lake. A friend of mine suggested I check the Parry Sound Municipal Airport. I presented my story to a wonderful group of people that took me in with open arms. Not only did they present a housing solution for my business but a network of government assistants to help grow my business. The timing was perfect for both of us as there was a plan in place to construct a brand-new building perfectly suited for my plastic molding facility. The airport commission helped me in obtaining a temporary location at the airport industrial park while the new building was being constructed. Not only did they build a new building, but they took into consideration my needs to make my business successful. From plumbing, electrical and lighting it basically became a plug and play facility for us. I don’t feel like I am just a tenant leasing from a landlord. I feel like a gained a family helping me run my business.”

"Having completed our 5th year at the PSAMA, we have nothing but good things to say about this location and our decision to build here. The exposure to a 400-series highway and the convergence of several local roads lends well to much opportunity now and in the future and, as the Muskoka vacation property market becomes saturated, we are convinced that Seguin/Parry Sound/Georgian Bay will continue to expand as 4-season destinations. Utilities have been reliable; power outages are infrequent and short-lived. Acquiring road-side advertising billboards and markers has been a challenge (with some recent success to report), but in spite of this, retail sales of our products at 13 Piper Rd have doubled each year since we opened. The staff and Commission at the airport have been pleasant to deal with, and we look forward to the longevity of our business at this location."

Site plan
The planning & development in our park is managed by both the Airport staff, it’s Commission, as well as the Township of Seguin and Town of Parry Sound. The airport has begun development in many of the available sites, by initiating road access, and connections to hydro and septic systems. We welcome the opportunity to hear about your business project to see if the Parry Sound Area Municipal Airports Business Park would be well suited to the progression and future of your business’s development.
