Seguin residents know that winter can be fierce in our region. Here are some friendly reminders about this time of year in the township.
In cases of extreme/severe weather, Seguin Township offices and the Humphrey Arena may close, typically at short notice, to ensure staff are able to travel home safely. Roadside brushing will commence this week to improve sight lines, clear roadsides for maintenance equipment, snow storage and improve winter driving surfaces. The goal of this program is to clear cut the township road allowances of all brush, shrubs, small trees, large trees and overhanging tree canopy to help achieve these improvements. Fowler Construction Company Limited wishes to advise that a full highway closure will be in effect on Highway 141 from Rosseau Lake Road 2 to 30 metres west of the public boat launch at Skeleton Bay. This full highway closure is tentatively scheduled to occur from October 12, 2021 and remain in place until November 9, 2021.
During the closure, detours will be set up on Muskoka District Roads 3, 24 and 35; and traffic signs will be in place to denote these detours, as well...

NORTH BAY, ON - Nipissing District Homelessness and Housing Partnership (NDHHP) has launched a homelessness anti-stigma campaign called See the Person. The campaign promotes kindness toward people without a place to call home and encourages community members to learn more about housing and homelessness in their community.
