NIPISSING & PARRY SOUND, ON – Due to warnings of inclement weather, the COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics planned for this evening at Rosseau Lake College (Rosseau, ON) and Our Lady of Sorrows Elementary School (Sturgeon Falls, ON) have been cancelled.

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is contacting individuals who had scheduled appointments for this evening.

COVID-19 vaccine clinics are taking place in Nipissing and Parry Sound districts this week for individuals of all ages five and older. Walk-ins are welcome. Face coverings are required at all clinics. Individuals should bring a health card or another form of identification, if possible.

Resilience, creativity and community: Humphrey Public School students lead interactive art project in Seguin

In 2021, as COVID-19 upended our lives, the grade-six class at Humphrey Public School created a project to encourage the community to reflect on their feelings about the pandemic using art.

With musical inspiration from Whispering River Music, the students painted wooden signs asking:

      • How has Covid affected your life?
      • What have you lost?
      • What have you found?
      • Have you been angry?
      • Where have you found joy?
      • What are you grateful for?
