Flags across the Township will fly at half-mast April 26 - April 29, acknowledging the National Day of Mourning for Persons Killed and Injured at Work on April 28.According to the Association of Workers' Compensation Boards of Canada (AWCBC), in 2022, there were 993 workplace fatalities recorded in Canada. The estate of Robert (Bob) Foote and Seguin Township are pleased to announce a gift of $2 million to support the restoration of Rosseau Memorial Hall. The gift was committed as a bequest and comes at a pivotal time for the hall with restoration plans now underway and its centennial celebration approaching in August.

Seguin Township is recognizes today, April 2, as World Autism Day. This morning the Township raised the "Celebrate the Spectrum" flag, demonstrating support for inclusivity, advocacy, and awareness.

Updated Shoreline Alteration By-laws

Seguin Township has updated its site alteration by-law and tree conservation by-law to better protect Seguin’s lakes and ecosystems. These by-laws were approved by Council at the March 4, 2024 meeting. The site alteration by-law now applies to all lands within 60 metres of a shoreline and all lands zoned Environmental Protection (EP and EP1).
