Emergency Planning
Seguin Township is committed to working hard towards providing the knowledge and training that will allow its Emergency Management Team a level of expertise to mitigate large scale emergencies.
The Emergency Management Program includes the following 5 core components for a successful Emergency Plan:
- Prevention - actions taken to prevent the emergency itself.
- Mitigation - actions taken to reduce or eliminate the effects of an Emergency that cannot be prevented.
- Preparedness - measures taken prior to the emergency or disaster to ensure an effective response to those hazards that cannot be mitigated.
- Response - measures taken to respond to an emergency.
- Recovery - measures taken to recover from an emergency.
Large scale emergencies can occur at anytime and although the Emergency Management Team is dedicated to providing the community with as much emergency relief as possible, it's important that Seguin Residents also follow some simple steps.
