Acceptable Waste

Acceptable management of waste requires diligence from all residents of Seguin Township. Waste must be appropriately placed in the designated containers or locations. Each container at the Transfer Site will clearly identify what type of waste is to be placed in it. At the Seguin Landfill Site, our attendant will direct you were to place each type of waste.

Household Waste

This is waste generated from day to day household living that is not recyclable in our Township. This does not include bulky items. This waste is place in the containers marked "Household Waste". Some examples of household waste are as follows:

  • Food waste
  • Baby wipes
  • Ceramics (plates, mugs, etc)
  • Cigarette butts
  • Diapers
  • Disposable mops, dusters & wipes
  • Drinking glasses
  • Dryer sheets
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Textiles
  • Vacuum bags
  • Wrappers
  • Durable plastics (kitchen utensils, toys etc)

Recycling

Blue Box recyclable materials must be placed in the appropriate bin. E-waste, Tires, Metals and reusable items are only accepted at the Seguin Landfill Site.

Hazardous Waste

Hazardous Waste Is not accepted at any of our Municipal Waste Sites. Hazardous waste must be brought to the Town of Parry Sound Macfarlane St. Transfer Station. Please note that proof of residency will be required. For information on Hazardous Waste Accepted by the Town of Parry Sound and the site location, please refer to their Web page or contact the Town directly at (705) 746-2101.

Brush

Brush Includes trees, branches stumps and roots.

Boats

Boats made from a variety of materials, wood, fibre glass, form of plastic with all engine, components, oil reserves, fuel tanks removed.

Boats Shrink Wrap **NEW**

Boat shrink wrap will be recycled, it must be clean and bundled.

Construction Material

Clean construction, demolition and renovation materials including carpets

Shingles

Roofing material typically made from asphalt No tar products are acceptable
