2013 Public Works Construction Projects

The following is a list of planned construction projects.

• Stanley House Road, double tar and chip ( Double Highfloat ) from Highway 632 - Steeles begining in June
• Star Lake Road at Star lake Cottages - Twin Culvert replacement begining the week of August 26
• Otter lake Road and Bradshaw Road
• 2013 - Road bed reconstruction, ditching, blasting, reallignment of sharp corner past Come By Chance - April to November
• 2014 - Gravel / Double Highfloat 
• James Bay Junction Road / Oaster Park Intersection - Reallignment to make intersection perpendicular to Oastler Park Drive, improve drainage on roadway to Boyne River begining Mid September 2013
• James Bay Junction road (just past Forest Hill Variety) - Rehabilitation of Boyne River culvert
  
• Slurry Seal Surface Treatment will be placed on the following roads begining in June as part of our on-going preventative maintenance program

Slurry Seal  is an asphalt/aggregate mixture that is applied to an existing road surface, such as surface treatment or pavements, that are still in fair to good condition, as a means of a cost effective preventative maintenance. It reduces deterioration by sealing, prevents further oxidization, corrects raveling and provides or replaces a high degree of skid resistance.
