Seguin Council approved the 2003 Budget on May 20th, 2003 with a 23% reduction in the municipal tax rates. The Province of Ontario also reduced the residential tax rates for education taxes by 10%, resulting in an 18% overall reduction in the total tax rate from 2002. Although some property assessments have increased substantially, many property owners will see a reduction in their 2003 tax levy. Summer 2003 Newsletter (pdf) |
