Municipal Boards and Committees |

Boards and Committees of Council Boards may be established by Council to provide certain services in enhancing the Township of Seguin's quality of life. When a board is created, such as the Public Library Board, Council also delegates its power to the Board. That is, The Board has decision-making authorities over the management and control of services provided. To promote input and involvement of the Township of Seguin's citizens and, at the same time, assist Council in its deliberations, Committees are established by Council to study specific issues or areas of interest, and provide advice to Council for consideration. Memberships of these Boards and Committees are appointed through Council resolutions, consisting of Councillors and/or members of the public. In this regard, Council has established various Boards and Committees, as identified in the Council and Committees Structure. |
